A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's NFS daemon (nfsd) was resolved to ensure that the function nfsd_file_do_acquire() does not use a file that has not been properly opened. The issue arises because the atomic_open operation can return success without actually opening the file, indicated by calling finish_no_open(), which can lead to dentry_create() returning a file that is not opened. The fix ensures nfsd only uses files marked as opened (FMODE_OPENED).
