A NULL pointer dereference vulnerability was identified and resolved in the Linux kernel's AMD GPU display driver. The issue occurs in the drm/amd/display component, specifically triggered by the IGT kms_cursor_legacy test with certain display configurations (eDP panel and DP monitors). This results in a kernel crash (NULL pointer dereference) during scanout position retrieval. The vulnerability has been fixed by adding a NULL check before accessing the pointer.
