Specifically, when memory blocks are created and an error occurs, a NULL altmap is passed instead of the correct altmap, causing unowned pages to be freed improperly. This can result in machine checks or memory corruption if those pages are later allocated and used. The issue has been fixed by ensuring the correct altmap is passed in the error path.
