CVE-2024-40841 is an out-of-bounds write vulnerability in macOS that was fixed by improved bounds checking. It affects processing of maliciously crafted video files and may cause unexpected application termination. The issue is resolved in macOS Sonoma 14.7 and macOS Sequoia 15.
