A high-severity vulnerability in the Linux kernel's RDMA irdma driver has been resolved by adding reference counting to user ring memory regions (MRs). This fix prevents userspace from deregistering memory regions that back queue pair (QP), completion queue (CQ), and shared receive queue (SRQ) rings by incrementing the MR's reference count upon association.
