A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's XFS filesystem quota handling was resolved. The issue involved the q_id variable, which is a 32-bit unsigned integer that could wrap around when reaching its maximum value, causing iteration over quota IDs to restart incorrectly. This was fixed by casting the variable to a 64-bit unsigned integer to prevent wraparound.
