A vulnerability in the Spreadsheet::ParseXLSX Perl package before version 0.28 can cause an out-of-memory condition when parsing a specially crafted XLSX file. This is due to insufficient constraints in the memoize implementation related to merged cells. The issue can lead to denial of service by exhausting system memory during parsing.
