A high-severity use-after-free and double-free vulnerability (CVE-2026-90162) in the Linux kernel's ksmbd component was resolved. The flaw involved premature publishing of granted locks to connection-wide and file-wide lists before fully validating all lock requests in a batch. This allowed a race condition where concurrent unlock requests could free lock objects that the granting thread later accessed and freed again, causing memory corruption.
