The issue involved KVM unconditionally using cacheable memory attributes when constructing an L1 VNCR mapping, even if the underlying page frame number (PFN) was not normal memory. This could cause an SError on writeback if the endpoint did not support cacheable memory attributes. The fix involved rejecting any VNCR mappings that are not normal memory.
