A vulnerability in the Linux kernel affects the HP 5MP Camera (USB ID 0408:5473), which reports a non-functional HID sensor interface. Attempts to access this sensor cause system hangs due to runtime power management trying to wake an unresponsive sensor. The issue has been resolved by adding the device to the HID ignore list, preventing exposure of the non-functional sensor to userspace.
