A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's cros_usbpd-charger driver allowed a malicious embedded controller to report an inaccurate USB Power Delivery (USB PD) port count, potentially up to 255. This could cause an out-of-bounds write and memory corruption. The issue has been resolved by limiting port counts to the defined maximum EC_USB_PD_MAX_PORTS.
