The issue occurs during read error recovery when raid1d and raid10d resubmit a split md cloned bio. This resubmission can cause a deadlock if the array is suspended before acquiring an active_io reference. The deadlock arises because the cloned bio already holds an active_io reference, and attempting to acquire another via percpu_ref_tryget_live() leads to the deadlock. The fix replaces this with percpu_ref_get() for md cloned bios. Join the discussion | GCVE Database | 08/15/2026, 06:32:31 UTC Added: 08/15/2026, 15:53:13 UTC |
