A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's iio gyro itg3200 driver caused an i2c read operation to write data into the wrong stack location. This bug results in uninitialized stack data being leaked to userspace via the triggered buffer, causing both a functional failure to deliver actual sensor data and an information leak. The issue affects certain Linux kernel versions prior to 7.0.0-28.28~24.04.1 and related versions. A patch is available and should be applied to prevent this information leak and restore correct sensor functionality.
