MAL-2026-10006: Malicious code in testing-d3do (npm)
0

The npm package 'testing-d3do' version 99.9.9 contains malicious code that executes during installation. Its postinstall script collects host identifiers including hostname, user information, current working directory, and external IPv4 address, then sends this data to a hardcoded subdomain under oast.fun, an out-of-band interaction collector commonly used for reconnaissance. The package appears to be a dependency-confusion squat, using an unrealistically high version number and minimal metadata to masquerade as a legitimate package. This behavior exposes sensitive environment information to an attacker-controlled server.
