Malicious code in reqcrypts (PyPI) 0 The reqcrypts package on PyPI contains malicious code that enables remote code execution. It functions as an HTTP client but executes base64-decoded Python code from a specific JSON response field (_payload) using exec(), allowing any responding HTTP server to run arbitrary code on the host. Additionally, it supports covert payload triggers that execute stored Python code silently. This behavior constitutes a hidden backdoor, exposing any application using reqcrypts to remote code execution risks.
