Malicious code in emojifancy-print (npm) 0 The npm package emojifancy-print version 5.6.3 contains a malicious backdoor that executes attacker-controlled shell commands automatically when the package is imported. This backdoor decrypts an embedded AES-256-CBC ciphertext using hardcoded cryptographic parameters and runs the resulting command silently and detached from the user's environment. The package masquerades as a colorized logger but includes deceptive no-op functions and fake data to hide its true behavior. Any system with this package installed should be considered compromised, and secrets stored on it should be rotated immediately.
