Malicious code in gpu-accelerator (npm) 0 The npm package 'gpu-accelerator' versions 1.4.2 through 1.4.7 contains malicious code that executes an XOR-obfuscated JavaScript payload with full Node.js privileges. It disguises itself as a PostCSS plugin but runs hidden code that can access filesystem and network resources. The payload includes a sandbox evasion mechanism that prevents execution in CI environments, activating only on interactive developer machines. Any system with this package installed should be considered fully compromised, and secrets should be rotated immediately.
