The npm package 'routecraft' versions 4.2.0 and 5.0.0 is a malicious package that repackages Express.js source code without attribution and includes a malicious install script. On Windows systems with Node.js version 18 or higher, it conditionally loads a suspicious dependency 'procwire' which executes malicious payloads during installation. Systems with this package installed should be considered fully compromised, and all secrets and keys must be rotated. Removal of the package alone may not eliminate the compromise.
