Malicious code in thirdwb (npm) 0 The npm package 'thirdwb' version 0.0.8 is a malicious typosquat of the legitimate 'thirdweb' package. It is part of a coordinated DeFi-themed infostealer campaign that uses a side-loader technique to pull in a malicious transitive dependency 'log-taker'. This dependency executes a postinstall hook that runs an infostealer payload. The payload harvests sensitive data including cryptocurrency wallet vaults, browser cookies and credentials, SSH keys, AWS credentials, .npmrc tokens, Docker configuration, shell history, and password manager databases, exfiltrating all data to a command and control domain.
