MAL-2026-6700: Malicious code in module-index-cache (npm) 0 The npm package 'module-index-cache' versions 1.0.0, 1.0.1, and 1.0.2 contains malicious code that executes during installation. The package's install scripts unconditionally run code that harvests sensitive environment variables, npm authentication tokens, git configuration, and other host data. This information is exfiltrated to an attacker-controlled server. The package also includes scripts to facilitate dependency confusion attacks by publishing under multiple aliases to target private registries.
