China-nexus threat actors have deployed a highly opportunistic automated spray-and-check campaign to compromise global government and commercial infrastructure across more than 100 countries. The operation utilizes centralized multi-platform attack infrastructure featuring cracked Cobalt-Strike derivatives and a sophisticated loader ecosystem. Attackers leverage primary infrastructure at 130.94.17.180 for scanning, exploitation, command-and-control, and payload hosting. The campaign employs stage-2 and stage-3 payloads delivered through architecture-specific loaders targeting both Linux and Windows systems. Transport variants include TCP, WebSocket, and KCP protocols. The SNOWLIGHT loader panel manages payload delivery through multiple endpoints. Organizations face persistent threats requiring immediate patching of exposed services, implementation of strong multi-factor authentication, and continuous monitoring for compromise indicators.

Between May and July 2026, researchers tracked the Latin America-focused threat actor Blind Eagle through multiple exposed staging servers, identifying significant toolkit evolution. Four key developments emerged: a third string-obfuscation scheme featuring JavaScript with custom AES S-box substitution, a RunPE loader using bare AutoIt3 interpreter staged via GitHub, a reusable 'Photo Studio' persistence mechanism shared across three distinct toolchains, and a materially upgraded AsyncRAT variant codenamed JC-46. This enhanced RAT incorporates Windows Notification Facility process injection, custom Base28 encoding, Hidden VNC banking-fraud capabilities with browser profile cloning, and a Chrome App-Bound Encryption v20 bypass. Despite operational security weaknesses including exposed directories and hardcoded credentials, the group demonstrates selective sophistication targeting banking operations across Spanish-speaking regions.

A sophisticated phishing campaign targeting Indian businesses and taxpayers leverages GST-related themes to distribute Remcos RAT through a multi-stage .NET framework. Threat actors impersonate Government of India GST communications using fraudulent refund notifications with convincing ARN references. The attack chain begins with a malicious RAR archive containing a .NET executable that employs bitmap-based payload concealment techniques. Through successive stages including Windows Health Optimizer Plus.dll and perfgurd.dll, the malware deploys Remcos RAT entirely in memory, establishing persistence via PowerShell scripts and registry modifications. Command-and-control infrastructure utilizes dynamic DNS services with randomized subdomains under aofmokighoig.hath.network. The deployed Remcos RAT enables remote command execution, keylogging, credential harvesting, file manipulation, and comprehensive system reconnaissance capabilities, representing a financially motivated cybercrime operation specifically t...

NWHStealer is a Windows infostealer malware actively distributed through multiple platforms including fake Proton VPN websites, code and file hosting services, and YouTube links. It steals browser data, saved passwords, and information from over 25 cryptocurrency wallets. The malware uses two main infection methods: malicious ZIP files with self-injection loaders hosted on free web hosting providers, and fake websites employing DLL hijacking to inject code into the RegAsm process. It exfiltrates stolen data encrypted with AES-CBC to attacker-controlled servers and maintains persistence via scheduled tasks and UAC bypass techniques. There is no known official patch or vendor advisory for this threat. Indicators include specific malicious domains and file hashes.

Katz Stealer is a sophisticated credential-stealing malware-as-a-service that targets multiple browsers, cryptocurrency wallets, and communication platforms. It employs advanced evasion techniques like geofencing, VM detection, and process hollowing. The infection chain involves obfuscated JavaScript, PowerShell scripts, and .NET payloads. Key features include browser credential theft, crypto wallet exfiltration, and Discord process hijacking. The malware also gathers system information, captures screenshots, and monitors clipboards. Detection opportunities include network traffic analysis, file system monitoring, and process behavior analysis. The analysis provides YARA and Sigma rules for detection, along with a comprehensive list of IOCs.
