A memory leak vulnerability was identified and fixed in the Linux kernel's udmabuf driver. The issue occurs in the export_udmabuf() function when dma_buf_fd() fails due to a full file descriptor table, leaving a dma_buf object in memory with a dangling pointer. This vulnerability does not affect confidentiality or integrity but causes a resource leak. The fix involves restructuring the error handling to properly release the dma_buf resource. The vulnerability affects multiple specific versions of the linux-hwe-edge kernel prior to 6.11.0-1007.7 and 6.11.0-1017.17, among others.
