A vulnerability in GitLab CE/EE versions from 16.5 before 18.11.7, 19.0 before 19.0.4, and 19.1 before 19.1.2 allows an authenticated user to create a repository where the web interface content differs from the downloadable content due to improper Git reference name resolution. This issue affects certain Ubuntu package versions as well. The vulnerability does not impact confidentiality or availability but can cause integrity issues in repository content presentation.
