linux-gcp-fips vulnerabilities (CVE-2025-21709)CVE-2025-21709 0 Multiple security vulnerabilities were discovered in the Linux kernel affecting various AMD processors and multiple kernel subsystems. These include speculative execution data leakage on some AMD processors, privilege escalation via operation cache resource isolation flaws on AMD Zen 2 processors, and entropy handling issues in AMD Zen 5 processors supporting the RDSEED instruction. The vulnerabilities could allow local attackers to expose sensitive information, escalate privileges, or influence cryptographic entropy, potentially compromising confidentiality and integrity. The issues affect numerous Linux kernel versions and subsystems. Patches are available and should be applied, followed by a system reboot. Due to ABI changes, recompilation of third-party kernel modules may be required after updating. Join the discussion | GCVE Database | 07/21/2026, 09:51:58 UTC Added: 07/21/2026, 20:06:22 UTC |
