A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's brcmfmac WiFi driver was resolved by adding a check for the return value of the function of_property_read_string_index(). Without this check, the driver could crash due to passing an uninitialized pointer to devm_kstrdup(), leading to a kernel page fault. This issue was observed between kernel versions 6.10 and 6.11. The vulnerability causes a denial of service via a kernel crash but does not impact confidentiality or integrity.
