A vulnerability in AMD Zen 5 processors supporting the RDSEED instruction allows a local attacker to influence the entropy values returned by RDSEED, potentially causing the consumption of insufficiently random values. This could lead to loss of confidentiality and integrity in cryptographic operations relying on RDSEED. The issue is addressed in updated Linux kernel packages provided by Ubuntu.
