A memory leak vulnerability in the Linux kernel's mcba_usb driver was fixed. The issue involved USB Request Blocks (URBs) not being properly anchored and released, causing a memory leak. This was addressed by anchoring the URBs correctly in the mcba_usb_read_bulk_callback() function. The vulnerability affects certain linux-azure kernel versions prior to specific 5.15.0 releases. A patch is available and included in updated kernel packages.
