A null pointer dereference vulnerability (CVE-2026-46079) in the Linux kernel's RADOS block device (rbd) driver was fixed. The issue occurs when device_add_disk() fails after device_add() succeeds, causing a double teardown sequence that leads to a null pointer dereference in blk-mq cleanup functions. This flaw can cause a kernel crash (denial of service). The vulnerability affects multiple Linux kernel versions prior to the patched releases.
