A vulnerability in the Linux kernel SELinux subsystem allowed only a single open of /sys/fs/selinux/policy at a time, enabling a process to block others from reading the kernel policy. This behavior could cause denial of service by preventing access to the policy. The issue has been resolved by removing the policy_opened flag and reducing the critical section protected by the policy mutex. The vulnerability affects multiple Linux kernel versions prior to 7.0.0-28.28 and related builds. A patch is available and should be applied to mitigate the issue.
