Ubuntu Linux kernel 6.8 contains a use-after-free vulnerability in AppArmor SAUCE patches due to failure to acquire a lock when modifying a linked list. This flaw can be triggered by an unprivileged local user, potentially leading to memory corruption and, theoretically, arbitrary code execution. The vulnerability is part of a broader set of Linux kernel security issues fixed in recent updates. A patch is available and users are advised to update and reboot their systems to apply the fixes.
