A security vulnerability (CVE-2026-50811) was found in FreeType, a font rendering library used in Red Hat Hardened Images. The flaw is an out-of-bounds read during font processing in the TT_Get_Var_Design function, which could allow a remote attacker to cause a denial of service or potentially access sensitive information by providing a malicious font file. Red Hat has released updated RPM packages to address this issue. Join the discussion | GCVE Database | 07/08/2026, 18:31:24 UTC Added: 07/20/2026, 19:43:48 UTC |
