In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: netfilter: ebtables: fix OOB read in compat_mtw_from_user Luxiao Xu says: The…CVE-2026-52927 0 A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's netfilter ebtables component was fixed to address an out-of-bounds (OOB) read in the compat_mtw_from_user() function. This function converts 32-bit user-space ebtables extensions to kernel-native structures but lacked proper validation of user-supplied sizes, allowing memory reads beyond intended bounds. The fix adds checks ensuring the match_size is at least the extension's required size, preventing OOB reads during kernel-side translation of certain extensions.
