Linux azure: In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: skbuff: fix missing zerocopy reference in pskb_carve helpers…CVE-2026-52943 0 A critical vulnerability in the Linux kernel's networking subsystem (skbuff) was resolved. The issue involves missing reference counting for zerocopy buffers in pskb_carve helper functions, leading to use-after-free conditions. This flaw allows premature freeing of memory still in use by transmit skbs, causing kernel memory corruption. A proof-of-concept exploit achieves full root privilege escalation from an unprivileged local user on default kernel configurations. The fix adds the necessary reference count increments to prevent premature freeing. Join the discussion | GCVE Database | 06/24/2026, 10:17:00 UTC Added: 07/17/2026, 10:18:24 UTC |
