A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's iommu/vt-d subsystem caused a general protection fault (oops) due to out-of-scope access when killing a QEMU process. This flaw could lead to system instability and potential privilege escalation. The issue affects multiple Linux kernel versions prior to 7.0.0-28.28 and related builds.
