In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: libceph: Fix potential out-of-bounds access in __ceph_x_decrypt() In…CVE-2026-52956 0 A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's libceph component could cause an out-of-bounds memory access in the __ceph_x_decrypt() function. This occurs because the function accesses a struct field without verifying the buffer is large enough to hold it. The issue is fixed by adding a check to ensure the buffer size is sufficient before accessing the struct. This vulnerability affects multiple Ubuntu Linux kernel versions prior to specific 7.0.0 builds. Join the discussion | GCVE Database | 06/24/2026, 17:17:00 UTC Added: 07/17/2026, 10:18:18 UTC |
