A use-after-free vulnerability in the Linux kernel's s390 architecture bus driver_override handling was resolved. The issue involved a race condition accessing the driver_override field without proper locking, potentially leading to memory corruption. This vulnerability is addressed by adopting the generic driver_override infrastructure with internal spinlock protection. The vulnerability affects multiple Linux kernel versions prior to 7.0.0-28.28 and related builds. A patch is available and should be applied via standard system updates. No known exploits are reported in the wild. Join the discussion | GCVE Database | 06/24/2026, 17:17:00 UTC Added: 07/17/2026, 10:17:09 UTC |
