A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's AMD display driver (drm/amd/display) could cause a NULL pointer dereference leading to a system crash. The issue occurs in error handling paths where a NULL check is improperly implemented, causing the logging function to dereference a NULL pointer. This flaw has been fixed by adjusting the NULL checks to prevent the crash. The vulnerability affects multiple Linux kernel versions prior to 7.0.0-28.28 and related builds. A patch is available and should be applied to mitigate the issue. Join the discussion | GCVE Database | 06/26/2026, 20:17:00 UTC Added: 07/17/2026, 10:15:28 UTC |
