UBUNTU-CVE-2026-55404CVE-2026-55404 0 A vulnerability in yt-dlp and youtube-dl prior to version 2026.7.4 allows attacker-controlled metadata to be written into .url or .desktop shortcut files without proper validation. This can lead to malicious file:// URI injection on Windows or newline-based desktop entry key injection on Linux, potentially enabling command execution when the shortcut is opened.
