UBUNTU-CVE-2026-57432CVE-2026-57432
0

Perl versions through 5.43.10 contain an integer overflow vulnerability in the S_measure_struct function used by pack and unpack operations. This overflow can cause an out-of-bounds heap read when processing crafted templates with large repeat counts, potentially exposing heap memory to an attacker. The vulnerability arises because the size calculation does not check for overflow, allowing a negative length comparison that advances the buffer pointer beyond its boundary. This issue affects multiple Ubuntu-provided Perl package versions across various LTS releases.
