NLnet Labs Unbound versions 1.12.0 through 1.26.0 contain a use-after-free vulnerability when compiled with DNS-over-HTTPs support using '--with-libnghttp2'. This flaw occurs during failure code paths involving dropped DoH streams, which improperly handle other streams in the same session, leading to use-after-free. The vulnerability can be triggered by a single DoH connection under specific conditions such as RPZ drop or heavy client traffic. The impact is limited as the use-after-free leads to early returns and does not expose user-controlled data, but hardened allocators may detect it and terminate the process, causing denial of service.

NLnet Labs Unbound versions 1.12.0 up to and including 1.26.0 have a use-after-free vulnerability triggered when compiled for DNS-over-HTTPs support with '--with-libnghttp2'.
