AI-suggested

A security update is available from Red Hat for Red Hat Enterprise Linux 10 and its variants. Applying the official patch as described in Red Hat advisory RHSA-2026:83561 will remediate the vulnerability. Users should follow the update instructions at https://access.redhat.com/articles/11258 to apply the fix. No additional mitigation steps are required beyond applying the vendor-provided update.

Description

A vulnerability in the rpcbind service allows a remote, unauthenticated attacker to cause a denial of service by sending many unique RPC requests. The service tracks RPC statistics in unbounded in-memory lists, leading to persistent memory growth and increased CPU usage, which can degrade or exhaust service availability. This issue affects Red Hat Enterprise Linux 10 and related variants. A security update addressing this flaw has been released by Red Hat.
