AI-suggested
Red Hat has assessed this vulnerability as moderate severity and has published an advisory. No explicit patch or fixed versions are currently provided in the advisory. Users should monitor Red Hat's official channels for patch releases. Until a fix is available, ensure that remote resource management is enabled only for trusted users with appropriate permissions and restrict access to resource IDs. Follow Red Hat's guidance and apply updates promptly once released.
Description
A vulnerability in the UMA resource registration endpoint of the keycloak-services component allows an authenticated user with specific permissions to update resources they do not own when remote resource management is enabled. This flaw is due to a missing ownership check when an existing resource ID is provided, enabling unauthorized modification of resource configurations such as names, URIs, and scopes.
