Description

A denial of service vulnerability exists in FFmpeg 8.0.x within the parse_playlist function of libavformat/hlsproto.c. This issue is triggered by manipulating the duration or target_duration arguments. The vulnerability can be exploited remotely and causes a denial of service condition. Upgrading to FFmpeg versions 8.1 or 9.0 mitigates the issue.
