AI-suggested

If you cannot patch yet, avoid processing untrusted CMP or CRMF messages with unbounded iteration counts or use the PKMacBuilder constructor that enforces iteration count limits if possible.

Description

CVE-2026-63568 is a denial of service vulnerability in Legion of the Bouncy Castle Inc. bc-csharp before version 2.7.0. It arises from unbounded resource allocation in the CMP/CRMF password-based MAC verifier (PKMacBuilder), allowing remote unauthenticated attackers to exhaust CPU resources by sending specially crafted CMP messages or CRMF certificate requests with very large iteration counts.
