AI-suggested

Users should monitor AMD's advisories for updates. Until a fix is available, avoid processing untrusted DDS files with the affected AMD Compressonator SDK component.

Description

An integer overflow vulnerability exists in the DDS RGB888 loader component of the AMD Compressonator SDK. This flaw allows an attacker to provide a specially crafted DDS file that triggers an undersized heap allocation, leading to an out-of-bounds read. The impact may include process termination or limited disclosure of heap memory contents.
