Description

CVE-2026-75029 is a vulnerability in BIND 9 where an attacker can send multiple copies of a record that should only exist once in a DNS query response. If the record data is identical, BIND appends it to the in-memory set, increasing memory usage of the negative cache and potentially enabling memory-based attack vectors. This affects specific BIND 9 versions ranging from 9.11.0 through 9.21.25 and certain S1 variants. A fix is available in later patched versions.
