AI-suggested

If you cannot patch yet, consider mitigating by restricting or validating request paths to prevent malicious patterns if possible.

Description

CallBackery versions before 0.62.0 for Perl contain a denial of service vulnerability due to unsafe interpolation of the request path as a regular expression under CGI, FastCGI, and PSGI environments. This allows an unauthenticated attacker to craft a request path with backreferences that causes exponential backtracking, potentially keeping a worker process busy for minutes.
