Until a fix is available, users should avoid processing CAN frames with a sequence number of zero in the affected Transport Protocol Data Transfer handling or apply custom input validation to prevent underflow conditions.
Description
An integer underflow vulnerability exists in collin80/Open-SAE-J1939 up to commit 744024d4306bc387857dfce439558336806acb06 (2023-03-08) in the Transport Protocol Data Transfer handling. The issue occurs when a sequence number of zero causes an underflow in an index calculation, leading to an out-of-bounds write that exceeds the buffer size by 6 bytes.
