If you cannot patch yet, applications should avoid using affected versions or implement input validation and controls to prevent manipulation of input chunk boundaries.
Description
Cpanel::JSON::XS versions from 4.42 up to but not including 4.80 for Perl contain a vulnerability in their incremental JSON parser (incr_parse) that allows input chunking to alter the decoded value of top-level numbers. This occurs because the parser decodes partial input chunks independently, leading to different decoded values depending on how the input is split. An attacker who can influence the boundaries of input reads can manipulate the number and content of decoded messages.
