Technical Analysis

CVE-2024-13922 is a vulnerability in the Order Export & Order Import for WooCommerce plugin for WordPress that allows authenticated users with Administrator-level privileges to delete arbitrary log files on the server. This occurs because the admin_log_page() function does not properly validate file paths, enabling external control of file names or paths (CWE-73). The issue affects all plugin versions up to and including 2.6.0. The CVSS 3.1 base score is 2.7, reflecting low severity due to the requirement for high privileges and lack of impact on confidentiality or availability.

Potential Impact

An attacker with Administrator-level access can delete arbitrary log files on the server, potentially disrupting logging and audit trails. There is no impact on confidentiality or availability reported. The low CVSS score reflects limited impact and the prerequisite of high privileges.

Mitigation Recommendations

Patch status is not yet confirmed — check the vendor advisory for current remediation guidance. Until an official fix is available, restrict Administrator-level access to trusted users only and monitor for suspicious activity related to log file deletion.
